Series 7 Hints and Teasers

Posted by SonicR on May 3, 2012 at 1:25 AM

Steven Moffat has offered several hints and teasers in an interview for the Doctor Who magazine, and several are quite exciting:

  • Rory and Amy are no longer regular travellers with the Doctor. "If he thinks he needs them, he just pops in on them." But, "Each time they'll get a little older."
  • Moffat on killing companions: "Even if I don't think I'll do it...maybe I will do it!"
  • Moffat ponders: "If we did a UNIT story, would Martha be there?"
  • The Special Weapons Dalek will definitely feature in the opener!
  • Moffat reiterates that the New Paradigm Daleks are an 'officer' class.
  • Can the question 'Doctor Who?' be answered? "Wait and see."
  • We will find out exactly what Trenzalore is all about.
  • 'The Fall of the Eleventh' will also be resolved (but not necessarily in Series 7).
  • Moffat is very keen that the order of the episodes can be swapped around this time.
  • There will be a story arc, but it is the 'opposite' of Series 6.
  • Two-part stories are not ruled out if the plot requires them.
  • Jenna-Louise's companion will be different to the others and  is "going to be a shock."
  •  Filming will continue throughout the rest of 2012 and  further into 2013 and beyond.

What do we all think of that?

So this season instead of killing him River gives birth to him? That's... just wrong.

Worse still, River and The Doctor have sex in the TARDIS and conceive twins, Amy and Rory. That would make Amy and Rory The Doctor's children, as well as his parents-in-law. River would be both mother to, and daughter of, Amy and Rory. And Amy and Rory would be married twins who, prior to time being rewritten, would have conceived their mother. Hmmmm....
