If you like being treated like a primary school student, being told that the future of this world rests in your hands, then you might like this episode. Doctor Who sinks to a new low

I think primary school students seem to be the target audience now, with a heavy dose of social commentary and moral preaching.

The die hards who have been watching the show for years and expect to be catered for are being tossed aside. It's been coming for some years now and I like it less and less.

Oh well it's up to the showrunners to determine the audience and pitch it to them, but I think the Lefties in the BBC who like to tell people what to do have too much influence.

Just put it out to a private company to produce so people can actually have FUN with the show again instead of being lectured too.

Jodie Whittaker would make a good primary school teacher, but she's no Doctor Who.

They got off to a good start with Spyfall, which was fun, but lapsed. Pity.

Worst action director ever! Monsters move at 36kmh but constantly outrun by a group supporting an old lady?

Feel very sorry for Jodie W having to appear in this trash. Dr Who is now Dr Who? Complete rubbish - no scary aliens e.g. Storm Troopers, Pigs, Weeping Angels, French Clocks etc. etc. "Monsters" are now poor misunderstood creature who get put in the naughty corner and then sent home. ABSOLUTE CRAP!!!!!!!

I think this story was a pale furtherance of earlier episodes from previous Doctor's - it's not the first time we've visited an abandoned Earth (e.g. "The Sontaran Experiment", "The Mysterious Planet" (to a lesser degree) etc) and not the first time we've heard of an extinction level event on Earth (e.g. "The Ark", "The Ark in Space", "Smile", etc), but they just had to go there again. A little predictable but a decent pace and good use of psychological/emotional damage to explain why someone wants to blow up her mothers creation. In all I would rate this episode 3/5.
