Wow, I thought last week's episode was brilliant, but the final episode is even better.  Lots of drama leading up to "The Arrival".  And there's a strong connection between The Governors and an enemy of the Doctor. Lots of twists and surprises, especially the ending, which augers well for a 2nd series (I hope).

5 STARS

I agree with you Tardis, another Five Photon Episode !    8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Didn't expect those villians to pop up on CLASS !

Glad you liked it too, Photon.

I wonder how many schools or other public buildings will now refer to their staff or staff-only area as Room M017?

If my memory is corrrect, the staff room at my high school was nothing like Coal Hill.

Which may be a good thing!    :/

I never went into the staff room at my high school (always out of bounds to students), so I don't know if it was like the one at Coal Hill or not.  ;)

Waiting patiently for it to be broadcast on free to air tonight....but then no more Who until the 26th of this month, so only 3 weeks to go which is not too bad.

Why the boys are sentimental and weak, the girls shine. Finally figured out what's been bothering with this show. Don't get me wrong, I am not stereotyping or being sexist.

Loved it. 10 out of 10 from me. Hopefully the Beeb will commission a second series.

I wonder what Audience Of One would think of this comment, if she is still around?  She often complained about Stephen Moffat writing mysogynist scripts for Doctor Who.  Maybe "Class" is an example of misandry.

A collection of “B” and “B+” ratings is impressive but I think that Class would have scored at least one “A” episode.

I'd give that rating to Episode 7 “The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did”   8)

Yes, I agree.  But remember that the DWTV ratings of Class episodes are averages.  Such grades are fairly meaningless without knowing how many people voted and the range of scores.  So I suspect those episodes which, overall, scored B+, probably had some people giving them an A, whereas others giving them a lower grade.

Unfortunately, the UK ratings for Class on BBC One TV are not very encouraging so, unless there is a change in policy at the BBC, or huge ratings when it is screened in North America, I really can't see a 2nd series being commissioned.  Which is a shame.

Recently posted on WhovianNet:

A new tabloid report from the Mirror suggests that the BBC has decided to cancel Class after one series.

The Doctor Who spin off premiered online on BBC Three last year before debuting on BBC One in January. The article in question focuses on its low ratings, as it failed to make the Top 50 on iPlayer throughout its initial run, while its TV figures dropped from 1 million to just 300,000.

Its writer and creator, Patrick Ness, has since taken to his Twitter to falsify the claim.

Fans will just have to wait and see what the future of Coal Hill holds, but it’s likely that an announcement won’t be made until after it’s aired in the US. It will debut on BBC America after the first episode of Series 10 on Saturday 15th April 2017.

I really hope that these rumours are not true.

I enjoyed Class and want to see more.   :(

It looks like Class is dead & buried.  :(

Lead writer and creator Patrick Ness has said he will not be writing any more episodes, even if the show somehow comes back for a second series, which is looking increasingly unlikely.

Whovian Net asks

“Class – where did it all go so wrong? “

From my view point, the show was very good, I can’t really understand the poor ratings.

I put this in the Dr Who thread, but it really belongs here.

Class is out. A scathing critique of a failed spin off.

I've said it many times before.

It is a great shame that "Class" did not survive.  :(
