Member Posts: 16431 | Laggan/Lagging? I'm OK . The air con has been on since 6am and the furthest I've been is to the birdbaths to put fresh water and ice blocks in them. Just going now to put the last ones in for the day. The kids have also been mostly indoors today.

Good to hear it. Laggan it is, so back to you. I'm about to fill up my bird bath too.

Member Posts: 16431 | Thanks Rumpy. How did you cope? Two mudlarks were the first customers at the front bath while a gasping noisy miner waited his turn. The temperature on a backyard thermometer was showing 42C minutes ago but the trees are now swaying quite a bit so hopefully a change is on the way. Delete one letter from this seven letter NSW town then rearrange the rest to release it.

I was in front of an evap air cooler all day. I have quite a few cusomers for my birdbath now. The bird highlight was a kestrel that comes around and has a chirp for a few minutes then flies off. An impressive sight. Back when it cools down a bit.

Member Posts: 16431 | Your brain has stayed cool enough. It's the correct answer. Over to you. How wonderful to have a kestrel visit you. I've had a magpie a couple of times recently and there are galahs around from time to time.

Thanks Gussy. Insert one letter into this 5 letter NSW town and then re arrange them to make two words meaning "we have a match !".

Moderator Posts: 21945 | No sorry. The two words have four and two letters respectively. PS match refers to a sports event.

I almost asked you that question about match! Sorry but I'm going to leave that until tomorrow. I need to prepare early for my home help because it's still going to be 40C and the heat affects him too. Will try again ASAP, while he is working and before I do the Crossword!! Goodnight Rumpy. I hope we can both get some sleep while it is somewhat cooler.
