Cardinal George Pell has been committed to stand trial on multiple historical sexual offences but the most serious of the charges have been struck out. I’m sure that a lot of people would have been very angry if Pell didn’t get his day in court. Extracting a live calf foetus which dies in the process is in no way "clean meat". Many people claim to be vegetarian but admit to eating " only chicken and fish". I do not consider them real vegetarians. I use almost no milk unless a recipe requires it, cheese and free range eggs only. All my other food is plant based. I also wear vinyl shoes and handbags instead of the usual leather I used to wear. | |

More people are going down this route with you Gussy. I usually only eat chicken and fish but I don't claim to be a vegetarian. A discussion on another web site has made me think seriously about dairy consumption too, but I don't think that I would give them up altogether although I will most likely eat less of them. A lot of horrible things go on in the food processing businesss which if common knowledge would turn a lot of people into vegetarians. | |
