The man's character is definitely in question. Remember when he got a $40,000 "award" from Gina Reinhart ? He said he couldn't wait to spend it on his farm. Someone actually had to tell him that you don't take gifts for doing your job. He's got no idea of the standards required for public office and should quit now. | |

You've got to ask how this type of person is a parliamentarian. I can honestly see why some may consider it an incitement to violence, even though it was meant as a joke. There are unhinged people out there who would see that as a call to arms. At the very least, it's extremely poor taste to the highest degree, considering the mass shootings that continue to occur in the US, and the murder of an environmental officer by a farmer in northern NSW a few years ago. | |

It's about time some action was taken against this person, he's done such things before. At the least he should be deregistered as a gun owner and have his guns confiscated. | |

I remember this story appearing in the media late last year. The Chinese Government was allegedly pressuring the Australian Government and Charles Sturt University to prevent the publication of the book. I hope, in the interests of the freedom of academic research, that the book is published and it is judged openly as part of a public review process. | |
